About Ydi
Ydi is a consecrated Shaman and High Priestess with over three decades of experience working with spiritual realms and healing energies. Born in Havana, Cuba and raised in South Florida since infancy, she has always carried a strong connection to her ancestral roots—both biological and spiritual.
She comes from a powerful lineage of healers. Both of her grandfathers were renowned seers and spiritual workers in Cuba. Her father is a High Priest in the Ifá tradition, and her mother is a Yemayá Iyaloricha—a High Priestess of the Orisha Yemayá in the Yoruba tradition. From a young age, Ydi was immersed in sacred teachings and ceremonies that shaped her path as a spiritual guide.
Her formal initiations took place in Guanabacoa, Cuba, not far from where she was born. There, she was chosen to be consecrated to Shango, a powerful male Orisha traditionally reserved for male initiates. Her lineage traces back to one of the first women ever to be consecrated to a male deity within the Yoruba pantheon—a groundbreaking moment in spiritual history. Embracing this lineage required rigorous rites and deep personal sacrifices, which she accepted fully at the age of twenty. For her, honoring the rawness and sanctity of those rituals meant more than comfort or convention.
In addition to her Yoruba initiation, Ydi is also consecrated as a Yaya Nkisi in Palo Mayombe—an Afro-Cuban spiritual tradition of Congolese origin. Within this path, she was elevated to the highest spiritual rank of Madre Nganga (Nguda Nkita), granting her the ability to heal, guide, and initiate others in both the physical and spiritual worlds.
Ydi is also formally trained in astrology and brings years of deep study and practice into her work. She offers clients multidimensional insight, weaving ancestral wisdom, spiritual guidance, and astrological understanding into transformative sessions.
At her core, Ydi is a teacher—by heart and by vocation. Whether guiding spiritual seekers, mentoring students, or supporting clients through deep transformation, she finds joy in awakening the sacred thirst for growth and self-knowing in others.
